Dawn is originally from Glengarry, where her early years were spent on her parent’s dairy farm. She went to school at Glengarry Primary and Traralgon Secondary. She was one of the original intake for the Footscray Institute of Technology (now Victoria University) Bachelor of Social Sciences (Physical Education). Although this degree was not completed, she has had a wide and varied role on sport and recreation over many years.
Dawn joined GippSport in April 2005 and brings a wealth of different management and organisational experiences with her from both the government and non government sectors.
She has been involved in many sporting activities over the years including netball, tennis, hockey, volleyball, basketball, women’s football, badminton, and women’s cricket both indoor and outdoor, softball and more recently golf. She has been a player, official and administrator in some of these sports as well.
She currently plays night tennis over the spring, summer and autumn months, badminton in winter and golf all year round.
When Dawn is not busy at work or on the golf course, she can be found at home in Rosedale with her partner Marian, three cats and nearly 260 different rose bushes.
