GippSport supports this program from its four regional offices - Bairnsdale, Sale and Wonthaggi - and its main office at Moe.

Participation in Sport and Active Recreation

(PICSAR)

 

 

GippSport is funded through VicHealth to assist organisations and people to become physically active.

The PICSAR program has been developed to improve the opportunities for Victorians to participate in sport and active recreation, and live a healthy lifestyle. GippSport has a role in supporting organisations which directly promote physical activity or which promote community health through sport and active recreation.

Case Studies:

The Keenagers case study describes a program assisting older people to stay active through social table tennis.

Boccia is a game for people of all ability levels. It is also a paralympic sport. Boccia – “Gotcha” is the story behind Boccia's regular establishment in four Gippsland centres.
