GippSport aims to improve people's health and well-being through their participation in sport and active recreation.

To do this we endeavour to assist and support communities, clubs, associations and sporting bodies.

We cover the Gippsland region from our offices in Moe, Sale, Bairnsdale and Wonthaggi.

GippSport supports many regional programs, such as those of Tennis Victoria and the web site for the Central Gippsland Tennis Region.

Keep Fit Don't Sit

4 July 2008 - Working with Latrobe City, GippSport has re-launched the "Keep Fit Don't Sit" program which has now been running for 12 years. The program encourages primary school children to increase and monitor their physical activity.

The program was recently launched at Churchill North Primary School by the Latrobe City's mayor, Cr Bruce Lougheed. "Educating the younger members of our community on the benefits of an active lifestyle and teaching them solid team working skills will provide significant benefits for the entire community in years to come," Cr Lougheed said.

Other primary schools in Latrobe City and surrounding areas will be introduced to the program in the coming months.
